For example, we recently learned of a company called SoFi (www.sofi.com) who will refinance student loans at fixed rates as low as 3.625%. A blog post is a great way to get the word out to many of our younger dentists, and their friends, who are strapped with high debt loads and onerous interest rates reaching higher than 8%!

(Wondering whether or not you should refinance with SoFi? If you have student loan debts with interest rates over 5%, the answer is probably yes. However, check with us first, as the cash flow requirements may change substantially with the refi. And that may or may not be the best thing to do with your cash right now.)

On a different note, I recently read an article in the Harvard Business Review entitled “How Netflix Reinvented HR.” After studying the article and a corresponding 100-page document produced by Netflix about their HR policies and philosophies, I have felt the need to share what I’ve learned with all our clients. I believe this information could be worth a lot of money – and bring peace of mind – to you as you manage your team. Look for more to come on this subject.
